How does the Overwatch Transhuman Arm work in HL2-RP?: The Overwatch Transhuman Arm act as the Universal Union's military force on earth, deploying in cases of extreme socio-instability or to eradicate rebel strongholds on earth. Overwatch Soldiers are modified greatly, having most of their innards removed and having them replaced with union technology in order to ensure that basic human functions do not interfere with the tasks. This subsequently leads to the soldier's brain being wiped and they do not remember anything from their past.
What purpose does Overwatch Transhuman Arm server in the server?:
Overwatch Soldiers are used as a backup team for Civil Protection, basically when all else fails and Civil Protection are getting shot at or attacked, OTA are deployed to mop up the resistance forces due to their vastly superior strength and abilities.
Why do you want to become apart of the Overwatch Transhuman Arm?:
I'd like to join the Overwatch Transhuman Arm as it is a faction I am very experienced in. Out of the five HL:2RP communities I have been part of, four of which I've had OTA on. I'm extremely experienced and I love the roleplay which you get from the faction!
How long have you been roleplaying?:
I've been roleplaying for about two years now on Half Life 2. As you can probably tell from my Gmod playtime, I love roleplay to death and I'm always active!
What's your past HL2-RP experiences?:
When it comes to Half Life 2, I will list my past experiences on communities below:
- Lemonpunch HL:2RP - I held almost every whitelist on that community excluding Black Market Dealer
- Combine Control HL:2RP - I reached EpU on that server when it comes to civil protection and I'm also a very experienced rebel
- Nebulous HL:2RP - My current community, I hold Civil Protection, CWU, BMD, Vortigaunt, Unity Party (I'm the current lead) and conscript biotic
What's your Character Backstory?(Minimim 300 Words):
Francis Was born in Bordeaux, France in 1984 to Marie and Hector Agincourt. Hector was the family's breadwinner and represented Bordeaux as it's Mayor for the first twelve years of his life. Suffice to say, with his father's rather prestigious job, Francis grew up in a privileged setting where he was sent to some of the finest educational centers in the south of France.
Francis took an interest in politics at a young age, perhaps it was his father's influence on him or out of his own personal thinking. Nevertheless, in the year 2000, Francis joined the Socialist party's Youth Wing at the age of 15 in order to pursue his dream in politics. Francis became a public speaker, organizing events and increasing party popularity during the elections.
Finally, at the age of 23, Francis was elected as a member of the French National Assembly, representing Bordeaux where he attempted to make a name for himself, continuing his dreams to aspire to the French Presidency. However, at the age of 25 his dreams were crushed when portals began to form out of the sky, causing chaos in the political atmosphere.
Eventually, the combine invaded and registered Francis into their citizen program. Francis was grabbed from processing one day and was shoved into a train; driving off to one of the many OTA Training Facilities where he was assimilated into the Overwatch Transhuman Arm and assigned to City 17 to serve under the combine.
What is a Overwatch Unit?:
An Overwatch Soldier is a gentically modified human who has been transformed into a soldier who serves the Universal Union blindly due to constant brainwashing. Overwatch Soldiers are extremely strong and are equipped with some of the best weaponry and armour that the Union offer.
What kind of roleplay do you expect to find in the Overwatch Transhuman Arm?:
I'm expecting a much more combat orientated experience with elements of combat and passive RP mixed in, basically I'm expecting to talk to higher ups in Civil Protection but also to the other units - however we can't talk freely as normal humans would of course.
Why should we trust you?:
If I felt I wasn't trustworthy then I wouldn't even be here applying. I have spent a lot of time in HL:2RP and I'm extremely trustworthy and very active!
When does the Transhuman Arm deploy?
The Transhuman Arm deploy when socio-stability is threatened, if a unit is "shotcopped" then Overwatch deploy as a cleanup squad, ready to eradicate the rebels at all costs.
Motivation for singing up for the Overwatch Transhuman Arms?:
I don't really have a specific motivation for joining up with the OTA. I just really love the roleplay provided here!

No; I currently don't but hopefully my past experiences in other communities will swat your opinion
